Neos ADF KickStart is extremely useful for anyone developing their applications on Oracle Forms platform. Its unique proposal are pre-defined and standardized modules, centralized administration and monitoring of deployed applications, exhaustive documentation, 24/7 support and full access to training content and related services.
Significantly improves performance of programmers, guiding them to solve business challenges quickly and efficiently
Anything that proves valuable during application development is easily converted into library that can be reused in development of some other application for the same or some other user
Every application built using Neos ADF KickStartu can be connected with a service. Those can be micro-services running within a company’s IT system or any other Internet service, such as Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter or any other.
Why adf kickstart?
Neos ADF KickStart employs a special methodology that relies on an array of reusable functionalities that are straightforwardly controlled via a unified dashboard - administrative console with an easy to use GUI. It provides full control over all applications and functionalities within applications.
By using the dashboard, the administrator is able to define the structure of application, generate parameters, create users, specify their roles, etc. After defining the initial application in this fashion, any new application built using Neos ADF KickStart includes this original parameters and information library, in addition to a local library containing specific application data. All applications are protected by a security provider that adheres to all JAAS and OPS standards and provides additional protection over LDAP or Kerberos protocols.
Features are split into functional units – modules controlled via an intuitive GUI. This greatly simplifies application development and administration.
ADF Kickstart Features
A functionality used in user management, i.e. defining user permissions and parameters, such as data sources used in application access (e.g. passwords and user names), LDAP server, security, and other parameters.
Components, forms, reports, procedures, etc. Any application component can be defined as a module. This functionality is used in creation of dynamic menus, defining access rights for particular users, etc.
This functionality is used to define system parameters, as well as parameters of each user. The defaults can be defined such as only one or several values are taken into consideration, depending on number of categories or modules they are connected with.
This functionality provides support for multiple languages within applications. One language is defined as default, but can be customized on per-user basis. This is also where default application language is set – i.e. strings used in user interface, notifications, errors and exceptions, etc.
This is where all e-mail templates are defined, including parameters for scheduled e-mailing, message statuses, access to message attachments, as well as automatic e-mail editing and sending from within applications
This functionality defines parameters regarding handling of SMS messages, i.e. receiving and sending (including bulk operations). It also supports interactive SMS messages (such as those used to check bank account balances). The functionality adheres to industry standards and is usable through RS232/USB interfaces.
Scheduler generates reports based on set procedures. It provides facilities for creation of said procedures and definition of parameters for all processes within the application (definition, execution, management and deletion).
Log & Audit
Log & Audit
This functionality tracks user actions within the application, both at system and user level. It provides details about current operational parameters of each module, and enables administrators to easily browse and search through access logs and data entered into the system.
Social Network Connections
Social network connectors enable integration with all leading social networks and platforms such as Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, FourSquare, etc. They enable application access through single sign-on via Facebook, provide means for integration with CRM systems, as well as making use of advanced analytics and text analysis systems.
